We’re Engaged!

January 1st, 2004

OMG, can you so believe it!  I knew it, we love eachother.  Yeah, you might think it’s fast, but it’s not.  I knew it from the beginning, or close to it.  Our families couldn’t be happier and neither can we.  We’ll get married in a couple of years, after we’re done getting our degrees.  I am not going to work, though, I am going to be a wife and then a mom.  I’ve been set up to have that career and I wouldn’t change a thing.  Joy to the world!

HE’s the ONE!

I just know it.    Period End.

To my home.

July 3rd, 2003

We go.  Joe and I are going home, so be ready mom!  I think he’ll be surprised at our lifestyle.  It is so like his, but he is so different.  So quiet and reserved, um, except in the bedroom, where it counts.  Mom, you didn’t read that!

We’ll be going home for a week or so and then back to his hometown and then back to school – what a life, right?

Home, home on the range.

OMG, I gave in.  I went to Joes hometown for Spring Break – aren’t I the good girl!  It was actually fun and his family is so like me, it’s weird.  I got my fair share of partying with his family I didn’t even miss going to Mexico or Florida.   The best party is that his family is really open.  We got to sleep in the same room – heaven forbid, right.  Man it was like a mansion too.  It was 7,500 square feet of a house (um yeah, lots of money, which I don’t look for).  We had the guest house part, so it was pretty much a lot of fun!!!  Can’t wait to return – I’m loving this guy!

Joe, his name is Joe.

Ok, so I love dating.  And, I go all in.  When I date someone, I am so into that person.  Which I think it should be.  My new guy is Joe.  He is such the opposite of what I normally date.  Total sweetheart (not the bad boy).  He’s pretty nice – like all the time – which reminds me of me, but not what I’m used to.  On our first date he brought me flowers.  How old school is that?  Well, it might be old school, but I loved it!  He opened the door of the car (never happens anymore), he kissed my hand (made me feel a bit old, but that’s ok) and he took me to a nice restaurant, not fast food.  It’s pretty much a dream of mine, but we’llsee how it goes.  I’ve been talking to him about the upcoming Spring Break – he wants to go home and visit his family – I want to party.  Hmmm, how do we deal with that?

I got my wish.

Barrett read my posts (lol) and ended up telling me that I was wrong.  Yeah, right.  He said that it was me, all me.  WTF, right?  He wasn’t calling me,  he wasn’t running by my house to see if I was home.  It was ME Barrett, not you.  I was looking for you, I wanted to be with you.  Where do you come up with it’s my fault?  I did everything for you and would anytime!  I bought you a Rolex, yes a real one, and we only knew eachother for 3 months.  DUMB on my part – (if you’re reading this, can I have it back?)  Anyway, obviously we ended going our different directions, so it’s water under the bridge.

I guess finding my romeo wasn’t going to happen in my freshman year at college.  Which is good, now I can party like a rockstar again!

Things that make you go hmmmmm

September 18th, 2002

Well, my “Barrett” is acting a little fishy lately.  Too tired to come over, or busy WAY too much.  It is so weird because we were inseparable for 4 months, and now this.  What the hell did I do?  Maybe he thinks I’m too into him, is that possible?  To be too into someone?  Well, to hell with that.  I’m not going to take it!  If he doesn’t want to date anymore, then fine, just be a frickin man and say it.  What’s so hard about that?  Hopefully he’ll read my blog and become a man somehow.  Men suck!  Well, in this case, I guess I could say boy.  He is acting so childish, pretending that he is busy.  Um, ok, whatever.  I’m over it!

Spring Break ROCKS!

May 3rd, 2002

We had such a fantastic time in Mexico!  Wow, I think we partied 24/7.  I actually don’t remember sleeping some nights.  We ended up sleeping by the pool – bad idea!  The sun is hot and talk about sunburn – Sarah looked like a lobster.  I was fine, my skin loves the sun and doesn’t burn.  But talk about heat stroke.  I’m surprised that there aren’t more deaths during spring break.  If you combine the alcohol, sun, heat, partying, partying and more of that, it’s surprising we all make it through!  Anyway, Barrett and I had a blast, pretty much inseparable, which I don’t mind.  Having such a hunk on my arm makes me feel special.

Can’t wait for next year!

OMG he called!

April 6th, 2002

Barrett called Mom!  Just so you know,  I didn’t fall head over heals for nothing.  He and I are dating now and it is really fun!  Sometimes its like we actually live together, which is pretty neat.  Not sure if I’m ready to have a husband, but a handsome party guy is very cool!  We’re heading to Mexico for Spring break – don’t ya think that will be one BIG party?  I’m so excited, we leave on Saturday.  P A R T Y!

What a party!

March 1st, 2002

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE living with a roommate and not at home!  Sarah and I do everything together!  Last night we were invited to a party by some really cute guys from college.  We, obviously couldn’t say no, so we went.  I mean, parties are fun!  We can drink all we want and not have to worry about any parents coming home.  It is so fun!  I actually hooked up with the cutest guy – Barrett was his name.  I really hope he calls…
